These beautiful 18th century spoon foot brass andirons were brought in to be polished, not lacquered, for a private client. The engraving adds considerably to their historic value as well.

Brassworks Metal Refinishing

We have been refinishing, restoring and repairing brass, bronze, silver and copper for almost 30 years!  Typical projects include refinishing a house full of door hardware to rewiring and restoring an antique chandelier in a historic home.

A recent project involved polishing 37 bronze doors for the Nathan Bishop school in Providence, RI.  Most of the work was done in our shop, but some of the doorframes and jambs had to be done on site.

Currently we’re restoring a beautiful ornate lectern for St. Thomas church in Alton (Westerly area), RI.  Some of the most amazing metal pieces come from the churches right here in Rhode Island.
